At the heart of OPIE Manufacturing Group’s advanced fabrication capability is the TRUMPF TruLaser Weld 5000 — a fully automated robotic laser welding system engineered for precision manufacturing. Featuring a 6-axis high-accuracy robot, fibre laser technology, intelligent seam detection and TRUMPF’s advanced BrightLine Scan beam oscillation process, the system delivers outstanding weld quality with exceptional repeatability across mild steel, stainless steel and aluminium components. Its ability to produce deep penetration structural welds, precision cosmetic welds and low-distortion assemblies allows OPIE to manufacture complex fabricated products with faster cycle times, tighter tolerances and minimal post-processing. Combined with our in-house laser cutting, CNC folding, machining, powder coating and assembly operations, the laser welding cell forms part of a fully integrated Australian manufacturing workflow capable of supporting everything from prototype development through to large-scale production programs.
